Christmas Cheer

The best form of Christmas cheer is the ability to recognize the value of the birth of Christ.  Jesus came into the world to share his goodness and his peace with all of us.  Christmas cheer means that we recognize that gift, rejoice in that gift, and we wish to share that gift to all in our lives.  The parties, the gifts, and the meals are mere human means to express Christ's gift to us.  As we celebrate this Christmas may we remember the root of our Christmas joy - Christ himself.  Christmas ends on December 25 for the one who does not understand the fullness of Christmas.  For the believer, December 25 is the first day of many days filled with goodness and cheer.
A merry and blessed Christmas to all.  Thank you to all who remind me daily about the joy of Christian living.

Financial Peace University

Last year the parish was able to offer Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.  This wonderful program has helped thousands of people bring peace to their lives by bringing order to their finances. The program will be offered again beginning on February 4.  More details will be available in the near future.  However, you may want to register now.  Here's a different idea.  You may have someone in your life, a son or a daughter, who is experiencing financial issues.  Perhaps, you may wish to give this person a Christmas gift, a registration for this program.  If you would like to register yourself or pay for someone else's participation, please click here.  This link will bring you to the registration page.  It also has a video explaining the program more in detail.
